what happened here tonight - pizza was delivered

Tomorrow we start remodeling our kitchen; which means tonight we needed to move all the pots, pans, wine glasses, mandolins, graters, mixers, and etcetera etcetera that we managed to stuff into the cabinets and drawers.

Sometimes it's completely alright to just order in a pizza and have a good beer.

There's a local place we love called Rosati's on Broadway near Lawrence. In an absolute turn of kismet, we had exactly two Hoegaarden's we needed to finish to make the refrigerator fully bare.

My downstairs neighbor Jack, like me, likes to play around in the kitchen so he was awesome and was willing to take all the foods I didn't have the heart to throw out.  If we ever do a kitchen remodel again, I'll plan better and donate to a food kitchen for sure.

Jack became the recipient of everything from Kirin beer to a 5 yr aged white cheddar.

I may get to post some crock pot recipes - who knows?

Looking forward to the remodel and coming back once done with more elegant surroundings to cook in.  Dare I say, once done I might even post some videos.
